NHL hockey fans rejoice, the NHL TV network has come to US markets. The NHL network has been on the air for several years in Canada, but is now available on Directv and cable networks in the US. In addition, Directv has made the NHL network part of their new set of high definition offerings.
NHL TV offers in-depth nightly highlites of every game, along with insightful commentary. NHL TVoffers a level of coverage that the US has not had since ESPN stopped broadcasting live games, but goes well beyond ESPN's coverage (which was quite good, especially during the playoffs). On NHL TV - it's all hockey, all the time.
"NHL on the Fly" at night offers continually updated coverage of games in progress, including cuts to live games. The wrap up show in the morning shows all the hi-lites from the previous evenings games.
The network also offers the occasional live games, classic series that allows you to relive fantastic games / series from the past (legends come alive, again!) and something we really like - instructional shows that talk about actually playing hockey.
It's NHL coverage that the US has never seen before. Enjoy!
