Tomas Fleischmann, Jeff Schultz to Coach Fort Dupont Cannons Youth Hockey Team on Wednesday, Dec. 5
Visit was donated by winning local adult team, HNA D.C. Vipers
ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals forward Tomas Fleischmann and defenseman Jeff Schultz will attend a youth hockey practice at Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. The HNA D.C. Vipers, a local adult hockey team won a visit with the players through the Coached by a Cap program, a new initiative launched by the Capitals this season. They donated the visit to the Fort Dupont Cannons youth hockey team.
Coached by a Cap is part of the Capitals’ Pucks to Bucks group sales fundraising program. Open to teams of all ages in the Washington, D.C., area, these programs gives teams the opportunity to raise money for their team and get first-hand guidance from a Washington Capital. Directions (From Virginia): Take I-395 North. Continue straight onto SE Freeway/I-295 S. Continue to follow SE Freeway. Take the Pennsylvania Avenue exit. Merge onto Pennsylvania Avenue SE. Turn left at Minnesota Avenue SE. Turn right at Ely Place SE. Rink is about 0.25 miles up Ely Place on the right. There will be a large parking lot and a low, flat building.
